AIX System Administrator

 

Your responsibilities
  • Implement and manage system platforms based on IBM AIX
  • Monitor system performance, capacities, and proactively identify and resolve faults or bottlenecks
  • Plan and execute software rollouts, including minor changes, full release upgrades, and hardware refreshes
  • Coordinate operational activities and changes with customer application owners
  • Create and maintain system documentation, operating manuals, and manage structured handovers

 

Your qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science or a comparable IT qualification, with several years of experience in operating Unix/Linux-based applications
  • In-depth knowledge of Unix-based server systems, particularly AIX
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language (e.g., bash or ksh)
  • Familiar with ITIL processes and able to apply them in practice
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with excellent coordination and communication abilities
  • Independent, responsible, and structured approach to work
  • Confident, adaptable, and able to work effectively using both agile and traditional methods
