We are thrilled to celebrate a significant milestone today: BBHT Solutions is turning 6 years old! Since our founding in 2019, we have dedicated ourselves to providing top-notch software development and quality assurance services for the financial sector.
A Look Back at Our Foundation
The idea to build a company in Cluj-Napoca began in 2015 when I had the opportunity to set up a nearshore team for a client. The dynamic environment, the young talent, the excellent German language skills, and the first-class infrastructure immediately convinced me of Cluj’s potential.
As a German, I had very little knowledge about Romania before my first visit, and I had to turn to Wikipedia to learn about the language, currency, and culture. What stood out to me was the contrast between the vibrant city life and the stunning nature just outside Cluj.
However, the next step was a challenging one: we needed a reliable Romanian partner. At the same time, our German consulting firm, BBHT, was still in its early stages, so we had to tackle all the challenges at once. In 2016, I met Andrea, with whom I developed the plans further, leading to the establishment of BBHT Solutions in 2019.
One anecdote that remains in my mind from this phase is how, in the beginning, only Hungarian was spoken in the office, not Romanian. This cultural diversity highlights how unique Cluj-Napoca is, and it made me realize how much I still had to learn about Transylvania.
Achievements & Milestones
Over the past six years, we have positioned ourselves as a reliable partner for many German clients. Our customers include renowned companies such as Atruvia AG, Inter Versicherung, Andsafe AG, Hessische Landesbank, and many others.
Our team has grown from just two employees to about 50 colleagues. In addition to software development and quality assurance, we have also specialized in MTEXT.
A key milestone for us is that we now not only serve as an external resource but also independently handle entire projects – from maintaining legacy systems to taking full responsibility for reporting tasks like AnaCredit. Today, we operate on equal footing with established IT service providers in the banking and insurance sectors.
